A ‘first draft’ fiber coupled fluorometer or fluorescence spectrometer meant for a side project of mine. Essentially a light source and a detector are coupled to a pair of fiber optic cables which I can use to probe a solution of fluorescent dye. At the moment I won’t post a schematic since this is in very-rough draft mode. For most purposes general amplification can be used for photodiodes. Video Rating: 5 / 5

www.pyramydair.com At about 6 the Rugar Air Magnum certainly hits the target price wise. It is a very traditional break barrel that is composite and metal. The stock is ambidextrous and does not sound hollow during shooting. Ruger updated the outdated 11mm dovetail with a much needed weaver style mounting system. This works MUCH better and keeps your optics rock steady on the rifle. For those of you who like traditional open sights, you’re in luck. The Ruger has a nice set of fiber optic sights with a fully adjustable rear site. Ruger includes a 4×32 scope which is pretty worthless. It was basically unusable for this review so I pulled the CenterPoint scope from my Benjamin trail and dropped it on the weaver mount.. That was easy! Given a preference, I would prefer to use Leapers which I believe just has a much better sight picture. The trigger on the Air Magnum is a copy of the RWS T05 trigger and it is a very nice fit for this rifle. It has some adjust-ability which allows you to tweak it to your preference. The Air Magnum is not bad at all for under 0. Video Rating: 5 / 5
The volume of data carried in optical communication networks is increasing due to the increased use of video applications and the surge in cloud computing. Datacentres have huge volumes of data flowing internally and externally in fibres. Fibre to the home is imminent in several countries. Metropolitan areas and backbone already use fibre but need to accommodate more data in each fibre. There is a clear need to put more data through each fibre (ie improving its spectral efficiency) rather than installing more fibre. Methods proposed include advanced modulation techniques, multiple wavelengths in each fibre and dynamic reconfiguration of the network using tunable lasers to assign capacity where most needed. Researchers from the Radio and Optical Communications Laboratory in DCU under the guidance of Prof. Liam Barry and Dr. Philip Perry have developed a unique capability to switch and re-route spectrally efficient data paths carrying multiple streams of 10 Gbps data in less than 100 nanoseconds. Pilot Photonics, a proposed spin-out from this group, will produce optical transceiver products that will enable the development of fast switching, high capacity, low energy nodes that will form the fabric of next generation fibre optic communication.
www.vector.com.pl BETA PRO 60G is an optical node designed to meet the requirements of modern HFC networks. Adjustment of the optical node has been simplified due to its microprocessor control unit that enables uninterruptible adjustment (eg AGC, slope, gain), what is extremely important especially for modern services eg VoIP, VoD. This solution allows to reduce costs of network maintenance, eliminate the necessity of plug-in modules stock and simplify installation and adjustment of the device. BETA PRO 60G may be equipped with transponder module, which enables remote monitoring and control of particular node parameters. It enables to monitoring and manage three-state ingress switch, reverse transmitter redundancy or segmentation, receiver redundancy, configuration of AGC settings, slope and level adjustment. Additionally it’s possible to monitor input/output optical power of the receiver/transmitter, supervise AC and DC voltages, control external contacts and inside temperature, tamper. The AGC circuit compensates changes in the optical power providing stable RF output level regardless of input signal fluctuations. Modern forward path receiver of BETA PRO 60G, allows to work with low optical input power is modern FTTC/FTTB architecture. To provide redundancy additional receiver may be mounted in. The node may be powered locally up to 15A or remotely with 12A current passing by each RF port. BETA PRO 60G may be equipped with two return path transmitters, which allow to … Video Rating: 0 / 5
