When using a Microsoft Windows XP computer in a home or business network, browsing the network can sometimes be sluggish. Making changes to the Windows XP registry will allow you to reduce the amount of bandwidth used to search and index shared folders, which can drastically increase your network connection. This is especially true when your computer is connected to a network with many shared folders and files. Making the following changes will accomplish this painlessly. Short Instruction ============== 1.Click on the “Start Menu,” and select “Run.” In the window that pops up, type “regedit,” and click “OK.” 2.In the Registry Editor, navigate to “HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft \Windows\CurrentVersion \Policies\Explorer\.” 3.Right-click the right-hand pane in the “Registry Editor” window, and select “New,” then select “DWORD Value.” 4.T.ype “NoRecentDocsNetHood” for the title, then double-click on “NoRecentDocsNetHood” and enter “1″ for the value. 5.Right-click the right-hand pane again, select “New,” then select “DWORD Value.” This time, type “UseDesktopIniCache” for the title, then double-click on “UseDesktopIniCache” and enter “1″ for the value.

TT Basic Package Fibre Optic

FiOS installation in Green Tree Pittsburgh 10-29-09. My house was the first in the neighborhood to get the service, 15/25 megabits. I saw the trucks throughout the summer, and kept checking the site, and finally it was available, so I ordered right away, an upgrade from DSL. The install went well, my Fios guy was pro, I’m pleased and all of that good stuff. The optical network terminal that the installer put in was one of the new kind that’s all one piece, with fiber in, backup battery, and the home networking all in one box. Yes that’s right, the fiber comes directly into the house with this and right to the box, no outside box with power lines going back out to it. The only external part is the router. It has to be easier to install one of these, and all of the electronics are protected on the inside basement wall. Did a speed test, and sure, it’s fast. That’s the last part of the video. Now we’re ready for all of the bigger files, torrents and all of that. In fact, this video just took a couple of minutes to upload, and that would have been a half hour before.
